STATE'S OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT RELEASES POPULATION NUMBERS

The Office of Financial Management's (OFM) April 1 population determinations were released June 30th.
"These population estimates are based on the 2000 federal census results or 2000 special censuses conducted by cities," quoting the OFM.

Yelm's official population went from 3,289 in 2000 to an estimated 5,900 in 2010, or a 79% increase.
