Steve,
Last night at the County Fire Commissioner's meeting we were told that the cost for fire compliance inspections in the County was $50 per inspection, plus $50 per building. That means that Walmart inspection is $100. This fee does not cover the cost to the County. Tax payers are making up the difference.
I would like you to ask Commissioner Valenzuela if she would support an increase in inspection fees to cover the full cost to the County (I won't be able to make the meeting my self).
