Latest edition of the ECONOMIST (16 Aug) has an article about this film. An eye opening projection they mention is that debt plus entitlements on the current trend line will be 240% of GDP by the year 2040.
My thought is that the solution will need to be more than "soak the rich".

Cheers !

See This Film!
When you can, that is. I took the time and effort to brave Chicago traffic yesterday to see this in the only theater in the area (actually only one of 18 nationwide), and it was well worth it.
Much of the information comes directly from the Comptroller General of the United States (the head of the General Accounting Office [GAO]), David Walker. There are four basic deficits identified and explored: Budget, Savings, Trade (Balance of Payments), and (most importantly) Leadership.
Let your representatives at the local, State, and Federal level know that they need to make the tough decisions, and that you will respect them for it, AND YOU WILL VOTE FOR THEM BECAUSE OF IT.
Here's the movie's website: http://www.IOUSATheMovie.com/
And the map of the theaters (this should update automatically as needed): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0963807/cinemashowtimes

Everybody needs to see this. Do what you can to get it shown wherever you are.
