SEA-TAC INT'L AIRPORT RECOGNITION

A friend of the Earth

Clean Airport Partnership, a non-profit environmental group, has given Seattle-Tacoma high marks for its Earth-friendly practices. A recent report by CAP, which was sought by airport management, cites a variety of airport practices: charging tenants for discarding non-recyclable trash, composting coffee grounds, recycling cooking oil and sending unsold sandwiches, salads and pastries to food banks," quoting USA Today.
