Bruce A. Smith is a reporter for the Pierce County Dispatch and assigned to investigating the news in Graham, Kapowsin and Bethel. Although he covers all facets of the news, his particular interests are the WASL, disaster preparations, youth issues and the environment. The Dispatch is based in Eatonville, and not only has it has been in continuous publication since 1893, it is one of the few independent, non-corporate chain newspapers still publishing in Washington.
